At first glance the old WW1 Army camp exterior can seem a little off putting, but looking beyond that the Centre is an ideal site for large groups visiting the area. The cooking facillities and mess room are ideal for large groups, and there are plenty of bunks. A short walk from the centre leads you into the beutiful fishing village of Staithes, and within the locality are many interesting places to visit. We managed to visit, Tockets Water Mill, the Cleveland iron mining experience, and Guisborough Forest, all in the space of a weekend. The Cleveland way and whitby are also very close.
I would recommend the site to other large groups without a hesitation.

What a fabulous place for an alternative break away!! We had a great week end in our accommodation. It wsa bunk house but we had everything we needed. The location is great for walking drinking or just being with friends.
