The farmhouse is a great place to stay, for a large family get together. We, especially the children, always enjoy the swimming pool and games room. The location is excellent for trips to Whitby/York/ Scarborough etc. and is near enough to the local supermarkets/designer outlet but at the same time being semi rural. The property is comfortable enough and reasonably well equipped. We have also stayed in a couple of the cottages. Rowntree is much brighter than the farmhouse and is suitable for a large group. Our favourite of the smaller cottages is Trueman, which is ideal for a small family, and young children can play just outside in view of the cottage. Our only negative is that a little TLC wouldn’t go amiss but this won’t stop us from booking again.
